Sterile, antibacterial dressing in the form of flat pads with high absorbent properties.
POLISEPT VET® AL/AG contains calcium alginate, which, upon contact with wound exudate, transforms into a gentle gel that fills the wound bed. The addition of silver nanocolloid inhibits bacterial growth.
- Maintaining proper moisture balance within the wound
- Optimal thermal insulation of wounds and protection against external infection
- Inhibition of bacterial growth, anti-inflammatory action
The supplement can be used for:
- Wounds with large and moderate exudate
- Wounds with significant tissue loss
- Wounds requiring a drain
- Bleeding, purulent, cleaning, or granulating wounds
- Ulcers, burns, pressure sores, and infected wounds
- Clean the wound with POLISEPT VET® WOUND IRRIGATION or POLISEPT VET® SPRAY.
- Dry the skin around the wound, then lightly moisten the wound bed itself.
- Choose the correct size so that the dressing covers the entire wound surface, leaving an additional 2 cm margin.
- Place the POLISEPT VET® AL/AG dressing directly on the wound. For deep wounds, fill them with an appropriately trimmed amount of dressing.
- Cover the POLISEPT VET® AL/AG dressing with an additional external dressing (secure it with a bandage or adhesive tape).
- In the initial stages of treating an infected wound, change the POLISEPT VET® AL/AG dressing daily. Then, depending on the degree of infection resolution, use it until the exudate significantly decreases or disappears.
