Sterile dressing in the form of flat pads with high absorbent properties.
POLISEPT VET® AL contains calcium alginate, which, upon contact with wound exudate, transforms its fibers into a gentle gel that fills the wound bed, providing ideal conditions for healing.
- Maintaining proper moisture balance within the wound
- Optimal thermal insulation of wounds
- Protects the wound from external infection while preserving gas exchange
The supplement can be used for:
- Wounds with large and moderate exudate
- Wounds with significant tissue loss
- Wounds requiring a drain
- Bleeding wounds, in the cleaning or granulation phase
- Ulcers, burns, and pressure sores without signs of infection
- Clean the wound with POLISEPT VET® WOUND IRRIGATION or POLISEPT VET® SPRAY.
- Dry the skin around the wound, then lightly moisten the wound bed itself.
- Choose the correct size so that the dressing covers the entire wound surface, leaving an additional 2 cm margin.
- Place the POLISEPT VET® AL dressing directly on the wound. For deep wounds, fill them with an appropriately trimmed amount of dressing.
- Cover the alginate dressing with an additional external dressing (secure it with a bandage or adhesive tape).
- POLISEPT VET® AL dressing should be changed every 1-3 days, depending on the amount of exudate. It should be used until the exudate significantly decreases or disappears.
